THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN ELKFORD, BC. ACCOMMODATIONS AND MEALS PROVIDED

We are looking for a journeyman/woman carpenter to join our team in Elkford, BC. This candidate will possess a strong background in various construction and carpentry tasks, demonstrating proficiency in both residential and commercial projects. This role requires hands-on experience with a variety of tools and techniques, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards on the job site.
Duties
- Framing (construct 2 vestibules with covered roofs connecting the buildings)
- Siding (install basic metal cladding on the new vestibules)
- T bar repair (redo some existing damaged T bar and replace ceiling tiles)
- Perform construction estimating to assess project costs and materials needed.
- Execute trim and frame carpentry tasks with precision.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans.
- Engage in concrete forming, plastering, and rebar installation as required.
- Participate in fabrication processes and ensure quality control during manufacturing stages.
- Conduct roofing, siding, and flooring installation projects with attention to detail.
- Handle water damage restoration tasks, including mold remediation and fixture installation.
- Assist in cabinet installation, door hanging, and caulking duties as necessary.
- Apply maintenance person skills for general repairs, including plumbing, electrical work, and masonry.
- Collaborate with team members to complete remodeling projects on time while maintaining high standards of quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or carpentry-related roles is essential.
- Journeyman/woman certification
- Familiarity with heavy lifting requirements associated with construction tasks.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials used in the industry. .
- Ability to work effectively on a construction site while adhering to safety protocols.
