Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team at TIPS Personnel. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves various tasks related to the care and upkeep of outdoor spaces. A successful Landscape Technician will demonstrate proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as mechanical knowledge to ensure efficient operation of equipment.

Applicants must be reliable, physically fit with a very strong work ethic and able to work outdoors.

Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Dig holes for planting trees, shrubs, and flowers as needed.
• Utilize hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruners to execute landscaping tasks.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping projects.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while ensuring high-quality standards.
• Installation of paving stones and retaining walls
• Installing sod, decorative rock and mulch
• Leveling/grading loam (Skid steer/shoveling/raking)
• Haul materials by skid steer, wheelbarrow and by hand
• Experience using laser levels, plate tampers, concrete breakers and augers is an asset.

Experience

• Previous experience in landscape maintenance or related fields
• Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work in every project undertaken.

You must have your own reliable transportation as work sites are in Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
