Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Parcel Sorter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to all safety regulations as a driver and the sorter will be responsible for sorting and organizing the packages with care . This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to perform heavy lifting.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
- Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including loading and unloading tasks.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required during loading and unloading processes.
- Experience with warehouse operations is a plus.
- Forklift certification is advantageous but not mandatory; training may be provided.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Duties of a Sorter
- Load and unload packages
- Sort packages based on the locations
- Arrange the packages according to the labels
- Communicate with the supervisor to ensure the smooth flow of work
- Work as a team with enthusiasm
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to communicate fluently in English
- Ability to bend, squat, lift and perform repetitive motions
- Reliable form of transportation
- Must own a pair of steel-toe work boots
