Full job description

TIPS Personnel is currently looking for a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator to support our construction management team in Lethbridge. You’ll play a key role in helping civil infrastructure projects stay on track — coordinating schedules, resources, documentation, and communication between field teams, subcontractors, and clients.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a sharp eye for detail, and understand the flow of civil and underground utility work, this is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project timelines, budgets, resources, and updates to ensure deadlines and budgets are met
  • Support the Project Manager in planning and scheduling civil, earthworks, and underground utility projects
  • Communicate with contractors, vendors, and clients to resolve issues and ensure deliverables are met
  • Track progress, conduct site visits, and flag potential delays or changes to stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate project documentation (contracts, change orders, reports, meeting minutes)
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and work quality to ensure adherence to project specifications
  • Assist with managing invoices, timesheets, permits, and vendor documentation
  • Help resolve on-site or scheduling issues and escalate to leadership when needed
  • Maintain compliance with OH&S standards and TIPS Personnel safety procedures
  • Work a 40-hour week with flexibility for additional hours during busy construction months
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Project Manager or Operations Team

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology required; registration with APEGA or ASET is preferred
  • Experience coordinating civil construction or utility infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of earthworks, trenching, tunneling, and renewable energy construction is a strong asset
  • Comfortable working with field teams, engineers, clients, and utility stakeholders
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, MS Project, Adobe, and CAD
  • Experience with B2W software (Estimate, Schedule, Track, Maintain) is a major asset
  • Ability to read blueprints, schedules, and cost reports confidently
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (site access not available via public transit)
